Jackie Brozovich - Orange County

Jackie began having MS symptoms at age 23, but tests didn't confirm the diagnosis until four years later, after Jackie had married her fiancé, Steve, and given birth to their daughter Chelsea. Steve's mother, Darlene, heard about the Walk and got involved when Chelsea was a toddler. Chelsea has been doing the Walk since she can remember, and now she co-captains Team Jackie with her grandma.

Despite ongoing treatment, Jackie's symptoms include partial vision loss, difficulty walking, fatigue and sensitivity to heat. Jackie participates in the Walk each year, staying cool in the shade while her team is out on the route.

Over the years, Team Jackie has grown to a formidable 58 members, and in 2008 raised $13,078.

Cyndy Marshall - San Diego/Carlsbad

Cyndy was diagnosed with MS in the year 2000. As of 2006, she unfortunately required full-time care. She now lives in a nursing facility, away from her husband and children.

Cyndy's MS doesn't stop her though - it motivates her to be a top fundraiser. She sets her goals high, and very often meets them.
